About Beca

My real name is Rebeca.  But I answer to many names.  Beca, mom, Aunt Cookie, honey, Bookie and camera lady, just to name a few.  I’ve been a wife for almost 15 years, a mother of 3 awesome boys for almost 9 years and also work outside the home as a professional wedding photographer.  I have a not-so-secret love of food and my dream job is to be an international food critic and photographer.  I am hoping to use this blog as a place to showcase my wedding photography, food photography, recipes, crafting, books, my hubby and kids, fashion, family life and my faith.  You know, basic life as a Midwest American suburban woman.

I am going to warn you all now, I am not a professional writer or journalist major.  I cannot spell and don’t have much of a grasp on grammar.  Instead, I write what I see and how I speak.  So bare with me, let’s just have some fun!

Please refer to my business website www.memoriesbybeca.com, Tomorrow’s Memories by Beca if you are in the market for a wedding photographer or any other type of photographer for that matter.

    Dear Beca,

You are living the dream and I for one envy you. I have a passion for photography and cooking also. My dream was to be a Mom when I was a teenager. I am a mom of 3 children and a Gramma to 3 grandchildren. Time really does go fast, so enjoy the moment of having those 3 children at home.

I never had a video camera when my children were growing up, but a friend of mine lent me hers for one of my children’s birthdays. Twenty years later, she found the video and put it on a DVD for me. The party memory was great, but I also videotaped some quiet moments that I didn’t remember. I videotaped in the early morning hours all three of my children asleep in their beds. It was the greatest feeling, because I was always at peace when I knew everyone was healthy and safe in their own bed. It may not have as exciting as other videos, but it is the most precious video I have. Now, they are in their own houses with their own families and that moment in time is gone.

    Keep living the dream!
